The European Jazz Prize (EUR 14.500,-- sponsored by the City of Vienna)
is a new categorie of the Hans Koller Preis established in 2002. Jury members of
23 european countries nominate 23 european musicians and select the musician of the year who has attracted
major attention on a high artistic level in the international jazz field, in the year before.

The Prize will be awarded on March 26, 2010 at the Porgy & Bess in Vienna.
The concert by the prize winner will take place on March 27, 2010 also at the Porgy & Bess in Vienna.
